You made it! Welcome to Kirsten Thien's new internet storefront. If you're looking for a great album to keep in your CD changer or add to your I-Pod 'favorites' playlist, then you've come to the right place. Herein, you will will find the soulful, groovin' and intelligent songs and voice of an independent artist poised to serve the masses.

Kirsten Thien grew up in Southern Maine with little more than the local Top 40 music station and her Linda Ronstadt album to influence her musically. Oh, but her parents subjected her to Classic Rock against her will at every turn and some of that must have seeped in. Later, Kirsten was spotted while at Georgetown U in D.C. and asked to sing with a local youth Jazz and Blues band, Federal Focus Jazz Band. It is here that we can interject that the only gig Kirsten has ever missed by sleeping through was FFJB's appearance for then-President Bill Clinton. Ooops. But, all the other work Kirsten did with FFJB opened a can of worms called 'The Blues' and Kirsten's singing and writing styles have been heavily influenced by Blues music ever since

At about the same time, Kirsten discovered a love of popular and classic R&B music as she began performing in and producing a yearly benefit rock concert at Georgetown. In her senior year, as she was interviewing for corporate banking and Wall Street finance positions, Kirsten decided that music could not wait. She stayed up all night partying before her most crucial interviews and later joined a D.C. rock band after graduation.

After moving to New York City, Kirsten worked with several NYC bands and began to make an impression on the New York scene. She soon grew tired of democratic band situations and decided to go solo. She teamed up with a Maine-friend, Con Fullam to work on what would become the album you hope to hold in your hand, She Really Is. With finance as a background, it did not take much for Kirsten to begin designing T-shirts and other merchandise to sell in order to build her empire.

Check out the tunes and buy your CD(s) now. These make a great gift, even to your parents! Also, did you realize that by buying independent music/merchandise you become a part of transforming the music business? Now go change the world.
